Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture; knead until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  5. Roll the dough into a pizza shape and spread tomato sauce evenly on top.
  6. Layer mozzarella cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden.
  8. Remove from the oven, add fresh basil, and serve hot.

Notes

For a crispy crust, bake on a pizza stone or preheated baking sheet.
