Description
These crisp, buttery spirals are bursting with bright garlic and Parmesan, making them a perfect snack for parties or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet (about 9×9-inch / 275g) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (optional for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the softened butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Spread the garlic-Parmesan butter mixture evenly over the thawed puff pastry, leaving a 1/4-inch border.
- Roll the pastry tightly into a log from one side to the other and wrap in plastic wrap.
- Chill the log in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
- Slice the log into 12 even rounds using a sharp knife or dental floss.
- Place the pinwheels on the parchment-lined baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
- Brush lightly with the beaten egg if desired.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until deeply golden and fully puffed.
Notes
Chilling the log before slicing helps maintain the spiral shape. Serve warm with dipping sauces like marinara or garlic aioli.
