Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or sour cream
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapenos, chopped
  • 1 tbsp jalapeno brine
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon or chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese with mayonnaise or sour cream until smooth.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheese, jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, and salt and pepper.
  4. Scoop the mixture into a baking dish and top with extra cheese.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbly, broil for 1-2 minutes if desired.
  6. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For better texture, soften cream cheese properly, and consider using jalapeno brine for added tang. This dip can be made ahead and baked when guests arrive.
