Description
A quick and healthy meal combining savory ground chicken and fresh broccoli in a delicious sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 3 cups broccoli florets (bite-sized)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
Instructions
- Wash and chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets, mince the garlic and ginger, and slice the green onions.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground chicken, breaking it apart. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Push the chicken to the side and add the garlic, ginger, and broccoli. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright in color but still crunchy.
- Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir to coat everything evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Turn off the heat and sprinkle with green onions and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the ground chicken in soy sauce for 15-30 minutes before cooking. Chop broccoli into small pieces for even cooking.
