A fun and tasty twist on the classic peanut butter and banana sandwich, grilled to golden perfection.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium banana, cut into thin rounds
  • 4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 slices thick white sandwich bread

Instructions

  1. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise just on one side of each piece of bread.
  2. Spread peanut butter on the un-mayo sides, going from edge to edge.
  3. Place banana rounds on top of the peanut butter on two slices.
  4. Flip the plain peanut butter bread over onto the banana-topped slices, keeping the peanut butter sides together.
  5. Heat a pan or griddle over medium heat and place the sandwiches mayo-side down.
  6. Cook until golden brown, then flip and repeat until both sides are crispy and the inside is warm.

Notes

Serve warm for the best taste. Optionally add cinnamon or honey on top for extra flavor.
