- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in vanilla extract and cream soda, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in butterscotch chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
- Allow to cool before frosting.
- For the frosting, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth, then spread on cooled cookies.
Notes
Ensure butter is softened at room temperature for best results. Chill dough for 30 minutes to enhance flavors.
