A quick and comforting casserole that combines the fun of a walking taco in one cozy pan.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup black beans, drained (optional)
- 2 cups crushed corn chips (Doritos or Fritos)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar and Monterey Jack mix)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Cook the ground beef until browned in a large skillet. Drain extra grease if desired.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water, letting it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the salsa and black beans, stirring to combine.
- Spread the meat mixture into a 9×13 baking dish.
- Scatter the crushed corn chips on top.
- Add the shredded cheese on top of the chips.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
- Let it sit for 5 minutes, then add your desired toppings and serve.
Notes
For extra crunch, bake the meat and cheese first, then add the chips for 2 minutes to maintain freshness.
