Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 flour tortillas (6-inch)
- Oil for frying
- Sour cream or guacamole (for serving)
- Salsa (for serving)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning with water according to the package instructions and cook until thick and flavorful.
- Allow the beef mixture to cool slightly, then scoop about 2 tablespoons onto each tortilla, top with cheese, and roll tightly.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the rolled taquitos seam-side down until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chopped onions, bell peppers, or jalapeños. You can bake instead of fry for a healthier option.
