Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can green chilis
  • 23 cups Fritos corn chips
  • 1 cup shredded taco blend cheese
  • 1 Roma tomato, chopped
  • 12 cups shredded lettuce
  • Salsa for garnish
  • Sour cream for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In an oven-safe skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onions are soft.
  3. Add the taco seasoning, green chilis, and cream cheese to the skillet. Sauté until the cream cheese is melted and everything is well mixed.
  4. Top the mixture with Fritos corn chips and shredded taco blend cheese.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Take it out of the oven and top with shredded lettuce and chopped tomato. Garnish with salsa and sour cream before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, use lean ground beef or substitute with ground turkey or chicken. You can add black beans or corn for extra texture and flavor.
