- 2 vanilla beans (seeds scraped)
- 1 cup pistachios (toasted and chopped)
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla bean seeds.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, until fully combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped pistachios.
- Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before frosting.
Notes
For best results, ensure butter is at room temperature, and don’t overmix the batter.
