A simple yet delicious homemade cranberry sauce that brings a tangy and sweet flavor to your holiday feasts.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
  • ¾ cup Sugar (white or brown)
  • 1 cup Water or Orange Juice
  • Pinch of Salt (optional)
  • Optional Add-ins (to taste): Cinnamon stick, orange zest

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water (or orange juice).
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, around 10-15 minutes.
  4. Add a pinch of salt and any optional add-ins as desired.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool before serving. It thickens further as it chills in the refrigerator.

Notes

This cranberry sauce can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for several days. It also pairs well with various dishes like roasted chicken and baked brie.
