Description

A quick and easy skillet meal that delivers buttery, tender chicken with rich flavors in under 45 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts (thighs work too)
  • Salt & pepper (generous is good)
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (add extra if you’re feeling sassy)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water if you’re in a pinch)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook until golden on each side, about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Remove chicken from skillet and add the remaining butter, diced onion, and minced garlic.
  5. Cook until fragrant, then pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan until the sauce is smooth.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and let simmer in the sauce for another 10 minutes.

Notes

For extra richness, stick with real butter instead of margarine. Feel free to substitute chicken thighs for juicier results.
