Savory little bundles of joy, these stuffed garlic knots are filled with garlic butter and melted cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, and olive oil. Pour in the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough and cut it into small squares. Fill each square with a mixture of melted butter, minced garlic, and mozzarella cheese, then twist and knot them.
  7. Place the knots on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve with marinara or garlic butter for dipping. Fresh herbs may also be added for garnish.
