Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
- In another bowl, combine flour, salt, and olive oil. Pour in the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough and cut it into small squares. Fill each square with a mixture of melted butter, minced garlic, and mozzarella cheese, then twist and knot them.
- Place the knots on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Serve with marinara or garlic butter for dipping. Fresh herbs may also be added for garnish.
