Description

A delightful dessert featuring juicy strawberries and crisp apples nestled in a flaky golden crust.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, diced
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust and chill it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced strawberries, apples, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture into the prepared pie crust, and dot with diced butter.
  5. Cover the filling with another pie crust or lattice top, then brush the top with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.
