- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (or red wine vinegar)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh is best)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
- 1.5 to 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
- Bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes (any veggies for skewering)
Instructions
- In a bowl or zip-top bag, whisk together all marinade ingredients until well combined.
- Add cubed steak to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to 8 hours.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated steak and veggies onto skewers, alternating meat and vegetables.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill kabobs for 8–10 minutes, turning every few minutes until steak reaches your desired doneness.
Notes
Allow kabobs to rest for 5 minutes after grilling to lock in juices. For best results, use metal skewers and marinate for 2-6 hours.
