Delicious and easy snack or appetizer combining fresh spinach with creamy cheese in flaky crescent roll dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté the fresh spinach in olive oil until wilted, about 2 minutes; set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, mozzarella, sautéed spinach, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. Roll out the crescent dough triangles on the prepared baking sheet and place two tablespoons of filling at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll up each triangle from wide to pointy end and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown; serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm with your favorite dip for extra flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
