Description

A comforting classic of tender meatballs served with perfectly cooked spaghetti and a rich homemade tomato sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and egg.
  2. Mix until combined, then shape into meatballs.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.
  4. In a large pot, simmer the marinara sauce and add the browned meatballs.
  5. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  6. Serve the spaghetti topped with meatballs and sauce, garnished with cheese and parsley.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free breadcrumbs and pasta.
