Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and wash them thoroughly.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook diced bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside but leave the rendered fat in the pan.
- Sauté minced garlic in the bacon fat for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add green beans to the skillet and stir-fry for 5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Pour in soy sauce and mix well, allowing flavors to meld for an additional 2 minutes.
- Return crispy bacon to the skillet, toss everything together, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for heat. Don’t overcook the green beans; they should be bright green and tender-crisp.
