- 4 cups crumbled cornbread
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté the onions and celery until they are soft.
- In a large bowl, combine the crumbled cornbread, sautéed vegetables, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the chicken broth and beaten eggs until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown on top and set in the center.
Notes
For extra flavor, feel free to add cooked sausage, nuts, or dried fruits. Use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
