Instructions
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water and let it sit until bubbly.
- Mix the flour and salt in a bowl; add the yeast mixture and knead for 5-7 minutes.
- Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the dough into pieces and roll each into a long rope; shape into pretzel forms.
- Boil water with baking soda and briefly dip each pretzel for texture.
- Bake pretzels for 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with coarse salt and serve warm.
