- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups vegetable broth

Instructions
- In a skillet, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
- Add chickpeas, butternut squash, diced tomatoes, spices, and vegetable broth to the slow cooker.
- Transfer the sautéed onions and garlic into the slow cooker.
- Season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the butternut squash is tender.
