Description

Delicious and hearty Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches made with tender beef and flavorful spices, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 34 lbs chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Soft Italian rolls for serving
  • Provolone or mozzarella cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Optional: Sear the beef chuck roast in a hot skillet until browned on all sides.
  2. Layer the beef, spices, and broth in the slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
  4. Remove the beef and let it rest for 10 minutes before shredding.
  5. Serve on Italian rolls, drizzled with cooking liquid and topped with cheese if desired.

Notes
