An easy and healthy weeknight dish featuring chicken and broccoli cooked in a delicious sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets and mince the garlic.
  2. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with cornstarch.
  5. Cook on low for 240 minutes or high for 120 minutes.
  6. Add the broccoli during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  7. Serve warm, drizzling with extra sauce if desired.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. For a thicker sauce, mix a little more cornstarch with water before adding it to the slow cooker. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
