A set-and-forget dinner delivers tender, shred-apart chicken in a sticky, tangy sauce, perfect for weeknights and parties.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs chicken (breasts or thighs)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4–1/2 cup chicken broth (or water)
Instructions
- Season chicken and optionally sear it in a hot skillet for 1–2 minutes per side.
- Place chicken in a slow cooker.
- Pour BBQ sauce and broth over the chicken.
- Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until it reaches 165°F.
- Remove the chicken, shred it with two forks, and return it to the cooker to meld with the sauce for another 10–15 minutes.
Notes
Optional to sear the chicken for added flavor. Always check internal temperature.
