Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb skirt steak
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 cup salsa (your choice)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 onion, diced (optional)
- 1 jalapeño, diced (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the skirt steak by mixing taco seasoning with a splash of olive oil and coating the steak thoroughly. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Cook the marinated skirt steak for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Remove the steak and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Build your tacos by placing sliced steak in each tortilla and adding cilantro, lime juice, salsa, avocado, and any optional toppings.
Notes
Use good quality skirt steak for maximum flavor. Let the steak marinate longer if possible for better taste.
