Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Fresh Mushrooms (Button or cremini, cleaned with a damp paper towel)
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil (Extra virgin)
- 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley (Chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Salt (To taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper (To taste)
Instructions
- Gather all necessary ingredients and tools, including a cutting board, knife, mixing bowl, and airtight container.
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel, avoiding rinsing them under water.
- Trim the stems of the mushrooms to ensure uniform size. Slice larger mushrooms if necessary.
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Add the cleaned mushrooms to the bowl and toss gently to coat them with the marinade.
- Transfer the mushrooms to an airtight container and pour any remaining marinade over them.
- Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably several hours or overnight.
- Serve the marinated mushrooms at room temperature or warm them in a skillet before serving.
- Transfer to a serving dish and drizzle with remaining marinade. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the mushrooms for a full day. Feel free to adjust the herbs and spices to your preference.
