Description

Delightful marinated mushrooms that enhance their natural flavor, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh Mushrooms (Button or cremini, cleaned gently)
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil (Extra virgin)
  • 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley (Chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (To taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper (To taste)

Instructions

  1. Gather all necessary ingredients and tools.
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel.
  3. Trim the stems and slice larger mushrooms.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Whisk until blended.
  5. Add mushrooms to the bowl and toss gently to coat.
  6. Transfer mushrooms to an airtight container and pour remaining marinade over them.
  7. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably several hours or overnight.
  8. Serve at room temperature or warm in a skillet before serving.
  9. Drizzle with remaining marinade and garnish with herbs if desired.

Notes

For more flavor, let the mushrooms marinate overnight. You can adjust seasonings as preferred.
