Description

Delightful and flaky mini cherry pies filled with sweet, juicy cherries. Perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 package of pastry dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice to make the filling.
  3. Roll out the pastry dough and cut into circles.
  4. Place 1-2 tablespoons of cherry filling in the center of each dough circle.
  5. Seal the edges using a fork to prevent leakage.
  6. Brush the tops with egg wash (beaten egg with water).
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
