- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked jasmine rice, for serving
- Fresh cilantro and sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in soy sauce and ginger for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a hot skillet or wok.
- Sauté the marinated chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sugar to the pan, stirring until melted and caramelized.
- Coat the chicken in the caramel sauce and cook for another minute.
- Serve over jasmine rice and garnish with cilantro and green onions.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate chicken for longer. Use fresh ginger for best results.
