- 1 pound Ground Chicken
- 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Ginger, grated
- 3 Green Onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1 large Egg
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- Sesame Seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, panko breadcrumbs, and the egg. Mix gently until well combined.
- Wet your hands and roll the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and golden.
- In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Heat over medium until honey dissolves, then simmer for 5 minutes.
- If desired, thicken the sauce with a cornstarch slurry.
- Transfer baked meatballs to the saucepan and toss to coat in the sauce. Simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Serve meatballs garnished with sesame seeds.
Notes
For extra moisture, consider adding a splash of milk or broth. Mix ingredients gently to avoid dense meatballs. Wet hands before rolling to keep from sticking.
