Description

A delightful twist on traditional Greek gyros, combining crispy fries with marinated chicken and fresh toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast (cut into strips)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (extra virgin)
  • 34 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 23 large Russet Potatoes (or use frozen fries)
  • 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce (for topping)
  • 1 cup Sliced Tomatoes (for topping)
  • 1 cup Red Onions (sliced, for topping)
  • 1 cup Lettuce (shredded, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by cutting it into thin strips.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until blended.
  3. Add chicken strips to the marinade, coat thoroughly, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Prepare fries by washing and cutting the potatoes into strips. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes.
  5. Drain and pat dry the potatoes. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake fries until golden brown.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated chicken for 6-8 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Layer crispy fries on a serving platter, top with cooked chicken, drizzle with tzatziki, and add fresh vegetables.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Soak fries for 30 minutes for extra crispiness. You can use store-bought frozen fries for convenience.
