- 6 cups mixed apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, Braeburn)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Place the apple mixture into the pie crust and dot with butter.
- Cover with another pie crust or create a lattice design on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or cheddar cheese for an extra treat.
