Description

Delightful holiday cookie bars with a sweet, salty, and crunchy blend, perfect for sharing and nostalgic baking.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup crushed pretzels or popcorn
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and brown sugar, mixing well.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Add the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, nuts, and any extras like pretzels or popcorn.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden on top.
  8. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
