Instructions
- Prepare the pastry dough by combining flour, butter, and salt in a mixing bowl. Incorporate the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough and line your tart pan with it.
- Sauté the mixed wild mushrooms in a skillet until golden and fragrant, then allow to cool.
- In a bowl, mix the sautéed mushrooms with eggs and cream.
- Pour the mushroom mixture into the prepared crust.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) until set and lightly puffed, about 30 minutes.
- Allow the tart to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Consider adding goat cheese for a tangy twist or frozen gluten-free pastry for a dietary alternative.
