- 1 lb fresh cremini or button mushrooms
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh thyme leaves (or 1 tbsp dried thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Rinse the mushrooms under cold water and pat them dry. Slice if desired.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and thyme to the skillet, sautéing for one minute until fragrant.
- Toss in the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper before transferring them to the baking sheet.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes until tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently before serving.
