Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk with yeast and sugar. Let it foam for 5 minutes.
  2. Add butter, flour, salt, and lemon zest. Mix until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing raspberries, lemon zest, and poppy seeds in a bowl.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the filling evenly, and roll tightly into a spiral.
