Description

Enjoy a warm, cozy twist on a classic favorite with these delightful Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls, perfect for chilly mornings or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk with the granulated sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, a pinch of salt, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add pumpkin puree and the frothy yeast mixture along with melted butter. Mix until combined.
  3. Flour a clean surface and knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size (about 1 hour).
  5. In a small bowl, blend softened butter with brown sugar and extra cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Once the dough is ready, roll it into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the filling evenly across, then roll it up tightly and slice into equal pieces.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish or on a parchment-lined sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Mix powdered sugar with vanilla extract and a splash of milk for icing. Drizzle over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with coffee, tea, or milk for a cozy experience. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for a couple of days or in the fridge for up to a week.
