- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup finely chopped pistachios
- 1/2 cup chopped dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Fold in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the finely chopped pistachios and chopped dried cranberries.
- Chill the dough for 30–60 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Portion the dough using a 1-tablespoon scoop, roll into small logs, and join the ends to form wreaths.
- Bake on a parchment-lined sheet at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until the edges are barely brown.
- Cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
Chill the dough properly to prevent excessive spreading and maintain the wreath shape. Toasting pistachios adds extra flavor.
