Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add molasses, egg, and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Form balls of dough and roll them in powdered sugar.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until just set.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
