Description

A vibrant and flavorful stir-fry featuring tender beef, bell peppers, and sweet onions, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, sliced against the grain
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for stir-frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or quinoa, for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a hot skillet or wok.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet, cooking until browned.
  4. Add the sliced onions and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the bell peppers and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the stir-fry on a bed of rice or quinoa, garnishing with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add chili paste or crushed red pepper flakes. You can also use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free version.
