- 18.2 ounce box of brownie mix
- 2 cups pecan halves, roughly chopped
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Flaky sea salt, for optional sprinkle
- 1/2 cup store-bought caramel sauce, for optional drizzle
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9×9-inch metal baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare and bake the brownies according to the instructions on the back of the box. Let them cool to room temperature.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the pecans, melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, honey, heavy cream, and salt.
- Spread the pecan mixture over the cooled brownies evenly.
- Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Let cool on a wire rack, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Lift brownies from the pan using parchment paper and cut into 16 portions. Optionally, sprinkle with flaky salt and drizzle with caramel.
Notes
Serve warm or chilled. Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a special treat.
