Description

Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1/2 cup fresh ricotta cheese
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your toaster or oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the whole grain bread thickly and toast until golden brown, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  3. While the bread is toasting, whip the ricotta cheese in a bowl until creamy.
  4. Thinly slice the ripe pear.
  5. Spread whipped ricotta generously on each slice of toasted bread.
  6. Arrange pear slices on top of the ricotta.
  7. Drizzle honey over each toast and sprinkle with nuts and cinnamon if desired.
