A simple and satisfying fried rice dish featuring ground beef, mixed vegetables, and savory sauces, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old and cold)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Use cold, day-old rice for best results to prevent clumping.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Add mixed vegetables and cook for a few minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Add the cooked rice and stir to combine with the beef and vegetables.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to coat the rice evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions or cilantro, if desired.

Notes

Use day-old rice for better texture. Feel free to add more vegetables or switch proteins for variations.
