Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old and cold)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Use cold, day-old rice for best results to prevent clumping.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Add mixed vegetables and cook for a few minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add the cooked rice and stir to combine with the beef and vegetables.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to coat the rice evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions or cilantro, if desired.
Notes
Use day-old rice for better texture. Feel free to add more vegetables or switch proteins for variations.
