Description

A creamy, cheesy bowl of macaroni and cheese cooked conveniently in one pot for minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, boil water and add a pinch of salt. Cook elbow macaroni until al dente, then drain most of the water but leave a little for flavor.
  2. Return the pot to low heat and stir in the milk, butter, and cheese blend. Stir constantly until the cheese melts smoothly to create a creamy sauce.
  3. If desired, add in any additional ingredients like cooked bacon or vegetables.

Notes

For best results, use good quality cheese and stir constantly while adding it to prevent clumping. Add milk gradually to maintain creaminess.
