Description

A delicious dessert that combines cookie and pie, featuring a gooey Nutella filling and buttery cookie dough.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Nutella (chocolate hazelnut spread)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream the unsalted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Press half of the cookie dough into a greased pie dish, forming a flat layer.
  6. Spread a layer of Nutella over the cookie dough base, leaving a border around the edges.
  7. Scatter chunks of the remaining cookie dough over the Nutella layer.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, keeping the center soft.
  9. Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great with vanilla ice cream or drizzled chocolate sauce.
