- 2 cups makhana (fox nuts)
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons sweet tamarind chutney
- 2 tablespoons green chutney
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Lightly roast the makhana in a pan until they are crunchy.
- In a large bowl, mix the roasted makhana with chopped tomatoes, onions, pomegranate seeds, and coriander leaves.
- Add sweet tamarind chutney, green chutney, lemon juice, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.
- Serve immediately in individual bowls, garnished with extra pomegranate seeds and enjoy!
Notes
For a vegan option, omit dairy toppings and substitute yogurt with coconut or cashew-based dressing. Adjust spices according to taste, especially if serving to children.
