Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast, allowing it to become frothy.
  2. Mix in sugar, softened butter, and eggs.
  3. Add flour and salt to the mixture; stir until combined.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and springy, about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and allow it to rise for about 1 hour.
  6. After rising, punch down the dough, shape it into small squares, and place in a greased baking pan.
  7. Let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter immediately.
