Description

A low-calorie, protein-friendly gelatin snack designed to help curb cravings and add structure to a reduced-calorie day.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold water
  • 1 cup (240 ml) hot liquid (fruit juice, brewed tea, or water)
  • 3 tablespoons (about 21 g) unflavored powdered gelatin
  • 23 tablespoons sweetener (to taste)
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons (about 14 g) collagen peptides

Instructions

  1. Measure 2 cups of liquid total: 1 cup cold water and 1 cup hot liquid.
  2. Sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  3. Warm the hot liquid to about 140–160°F (60–71°C).
  4. Stir in sweetener to taste, then whisk in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  5. If using collagen, whisk it in once the mixture is warm.
  6. Pour into molds or a pan and refrigerate for 3–4 hours until firm.
  7. Unmold and portion to serve.
