A low-calorie, protein-friendly gelatin snack designed to help curb cravings and add structure to a reduced-calorie day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (240 ml) cold water
- 1 cup (240 ml) hot liquid (fruit juice, brewed tea, or water)
- 3 tablespoons (about 21 g) unflavored powdered gelatin
- 2–3 tablespoons sweetener (to taste)
- Optional: 2 tablespoons (about 14 g) collagen peptides
Instructions
- Measure 2 cups of liquid total: 1 cup cold water and 1 cup hot liquid.
- Sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Warm the hot liquid to about 140–160°F (60–71°C).
- Stir in sweetener to taste, then whisk in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- If using collagen, whisk it in once the mixture is warm.
- Pour into molds or a pan and refrigerate for 3–4 hours until firm.
- Unmold and portion to serve.
Notes
