Description

Delightful and moist banana bread made with yogurt that offers a warm hug in the morning.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Add yogurt, egg, and melted butter; mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. If desired, fold in walnuts or any add-ins.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For variation, substitute with gluten-free flour or use dairy-free yogurt and coconut oil.
