- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup diced pepperoni or other toppings (e.g., bell peppers, mushrooms, olives)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the pie crusts and cut them into small circles to fit into a muffin tin.
- Place the pie crust circles into the muffin tin, pressing down gently to form cups.
- Spoon a small amount of pizza sauce into each crust, followed by cheese and desired toppings.
- Top with more cheese and sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
- Cut small circles from the remaining crust to place on top, or leave them open.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden color.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
