Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced pepperoni or other toppings (e.g., bell peppers, mushrooms, olives)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crusts and cut them into small circles to fit into a muffin tin.
  3. Place the pie crust circles into the muffin tin, pressing down gently to form cups.
  4. Spoon a small amount of pizza sauce into each crust, followed by cheese and desired toppings.
  5. Top with more cheese and sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
  6. Cut small circles from the remaining crust to place on top, or leave them open.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden color.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
